Rufino Silva, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, Investigator at AIBILI and Head of Medical Retina Unit at the Ophthalmology Department, University Hospital of Coimbra, Portugal. His main areas of interest are Age-related Macular Degeneration, retinal vascular diseases and myopia.
Former Researcher and Coordinator of the Medical Retina Section at the Coimbra University Hospital with an important contribution towards the advancement of clinical research on Diabetic Retinopathy and Age-related Macular Degeneration.
Former Researcher and Coordinator of the Neuro-ophthalmology Section at the Coimbra University Hospital.
Author of 6 book chapters and author/co-author of more than 130 scientific research papers in national and international refereed journals.
Researcher in AIBILI in the area of Medical Retina - Imagiology, Epidemiology and Therapy of Diabetic Retinopathy and Age-related Macular Degeneration.
Maria da Luz Cachulo, Hospitalar Assistant at the Ophthalmology Department, University Hospital of Coimbra, Head of the Coimbra Ophthalmology Reading Center (CORC) and Investigator at AIBILI, Portugal. Her main areas of interest are Age-related Macular Degeneration, retinal vascular diseases and Imaging in retinal area.
Director of the Coimbra Coordinating Centre for Clinical Research (4C) at AIBILI and responsible for statistical data analysis. Sandrina has been involved in several scientific publications in the field of Retinal Diseases and as well as some public presentations in the same field.
